Arrive 655am. Check in to apartment after 930am, rue des Vignes, Refresh, shop

Option1: RER C to ND St. Michel, pass by ND, visit Espace ND (6 rue de la Cite, 10-8pm, closed Mon), over to ISL, to Village St. Paul, then L’As du Fallafel, wander Marais to Little Red Door (60 rue Charlot, 4pm-2am) for cocktails

Option 2: Metro to St. Paul, Village St. Paul; L’As du Fallafel, wander Marais then pass by Hotel de Ville to ND, Espace ND, over to Rue de la Huchette, drinks somewhere. Back to 16th via RER C

(Village St. Paul boundary streets: rue des jardins de Saint-Paul; r d l’Ave-Maria; r Charlemagne; r Saint-Paul)

A little confusion on arrival bc the Airbnb hostess was out of town, and it was rainy. We took an official taxi to the apartment but they couldn’t meet us yet. We trudged our luggage down to Le Bois and had breakfast. Very nice. About the only place open! Then having confirmed that someone would meet us at the apartment, there we went again.

The façade on rue des Vignes was under construction. We were shown up to the apartment, which was very nice but a bit filled up with the owner’s things. We definitely disliked all the reed scent diffusers. Wifi worked, TV was complicated. We wiped everything down, put the scent diffusers out on the balcony, cleaned ourselves up, and headed out. We did Option 1.

First stop was Notre Dame for the Espace exhibit. Free. Very cool display of ND restoration process and close-ups of the windows, statues, construction. The progress on ND was noticeable from last time as the perimeter fencing was much closer to the cathedral and they built stadium seating for a good look. Still a ways to go.

We crossed over to visit Village St. Paul. Streets were quiet, buildings were lovely. We hadn’t previously been in this area. The shops were mostly closed and quiet. One alley seemed to lead to the Eglise St. Paul St. Louis but we didn’t trust it and walked around to the main entrance (the alley did lead into the church, cool!). The church is old and very pretty and a nice respite in the middle of the busy Marais.

Next stop was L’As du Fallafel. We took a random street from the church and wound our way there. Happy, happy! We got our lunch and ate it in the park nearby, as tradition dictates, lol.  More wandering in the Marais in the direction of Little Red Door cocktail bar. We had a couple of drinks but didn’t love the place bc it really could have been anywhere.

Wandered back over to Notre Dame, over to Rue de la Huchette. Very, very touristy! Decided to stop at O’Jason for a drink. Nice enough place. RER back to the apartment to catch the sunset around 945pm.
