Just by a few minutes, but still. LOL. Miura was lovely. Very French, I don’t think there were more than 4-5 english speakers at lunch in a packed house. The food was delicious, nice service. Definitely going back! After
lunch, we decided to head to the Musee Jean Jacques Henner. We go there
through the very pretty streets of the 17th Loved all of the
building with the round cupola things. Passed a pretty market. Nice area. The
museum covers several floors of exhibit space. My favorite was the top room
with all of his paintings on display, he was quite prolific! There was good
signage in English. Not many other people. We
walked out and headed to Parc Monceau. So beautiful! We grabbed a seat to
watch the kids with their nannies then walked around this beautiful parc,
guided by the Blue Guide. It would be lovely to have it as our backyard! We exited at Rue Rembrandt—gorgeous! At the end of the street is the Pagoda de Paris. We turned onto rue de Monceau toward Bd Haussman/Ave de Friedland toward the Arc de Triomphe. A few interesting tidbits in the Blue Guide. There was some sort of ceremony going on at the Arc de Triomphe which included the military band. We stood and watched until it ended. Lovely. We did not ascend the Arc de Triomphe. Afterwards, we walked back over to Marie-Suzy, which we had passed on Ave. de Friedland, and had a couple of cocktails (loved the daiquiri). We decided on Thai for dinner but the place we thought was a restaurant, around the corner from Marie-Suzy, was actually a massage parlor, lol. Google to the rescue! We ended up at a tiny little place, T Thai food, that got 4.6 on the reviews. It was very good! Back
to Charles de Gaulle Etoile to take the metro home. Lovely day! |
